UA Engineering Design Day app for iPhone and iPad

This event is the culmination of a yearlong experience that immerses undergraduate UA engineering students in real-world design projects with industry-standard design processes.

Interdisciplinary teams of four to six seniors collaborate on mostly industry-sponsored projects in their final year of school to meet their capstone design requirements and then showcase their finished projects at this event. More than $20,000 of industry-sponsored prizes are awarded to particularly successful projects at the end of the event.

This app is your mobile companion to Engineering Design Day 2016. It includes the descriptions of the approximately 100 projects to be on display, profiles of more than 500 participating students, information about key contacts, a complete schedule of the event, maps of the exhibits, and other relevant information. The app also allows users who choose to register to share their impressions of the event with their friends and to communicate with each other during and after the event. The app will additionally provide registered users with news about the Engineering Design Program in the future.
